K-taping

Ktaping® is applicable for a wide variety of therapeutic treatments.

It has become an essential tool in my therapeutic daily life.

Ktaping® is an elastic band made of pure cotton whose elasticity is comparable to that of human muscle. It therefore keeps total mobility. Their purpose is to stimulate skin receptors and a lifting of the skin, thus widening the inter-tissue space and allowing better circulatory exchanges.

Ktaping® helps reduce pain, improve muscle function, support a joint and activate the lymphatic system.

Pedicury

What is pedicure?

  • Mycoses (fungi, yeasts).
  • Ingrown nails.
  • The crevices.
  • Plantar warts.
  • Neuropathic diabetic feet.
  • Etc.

Orthoplasties

Orthoplasties are removable orthoses made of silicone elastomer.

They provide immediate and lasting relief from toe pain caused by shoe friction.

Example: hallux valgus, interdigital corns, dorsal corns, "claw" toes, etc.

When a horn remains sensitive despite regular care, we can consider performing an orthoplasty.

Treadmill

The treadmill: analysis of running.

Orthopedic Sole

The orthopedic sole or plantar orthosis is a removable orthosis.

Orthopedic insoles are custom-made by your Valenciennes podiatrist (from plantar impressions) following a careful clinical examination (feet, lower limbs, hips, spine, posture).

Posturology

During the posturological examination, an observation of your posture both static and dynamic will be made

In 80% of the cases, the foot is adaptive compared to the upper floors with a predominance of repercussions on the walking of the hip then the knee and then the ankle. The foot is one of the main organs for postural balance through the finesse of its proprioceptive sensors.

The objective of the postural examination is to determine the defective postural entry (vestibular, visual, musculoskeletal disorder) requiring specific management.

As a function, adapted soles are made in order to rebalance the posture. Regular monitoring can then assess their contribution.

It will have a preventive and / or curative aim.

The sports podiatrist plays an important role in the multidisciplinary care of the patient (doctor, physiotherapist, osteopath, chiropractor, physical trainer).

Sports Podology

Sports podiatry is more technical than traditional podiatry.

Indeed, taking care of an athlete requires a study of the technical gestures associated with the activity he practices.

The sportsman's technical gestures can cause pathologies that are both specific and disabling.

Example: wiper syndrome in cyclists and joggers.

The soles are made according to the footwear volume of your sports shoe, the practice area (road, path, trail ...), your type of stride (pronator, universal, supinator but also anterior or posterior).

The sole of the sportsman is tailor-made, after a complete clinical examination in the workshop of your podiatrist's office on sport at 11/13 Salle le Comte with technical materials.

Podo-Pediatrics

What is podo-pediatrics?

Podopediatrics is a discipline designating podiatric care for children and adolescents.

Indeed, we often tend to mistakenly think that children's feet are like those of adults but smaller.

However, the feet of toddlers and adolescents know their own pathologies and therefore require treatment accordingly.

It is important to note that different factors have to be taken into account and prioritize the child's growth. Little by little, the child's foot is formed so as to acquire walking.

Putting on shoes is all the more important to avoid the risk of deformation inherent in wearing unsuitable shoes.

This is why it is advisable to consult a podiatrist for children who will be able to prescribe a suitable treatment.

What are the signs that could lead you to consult a podiatrist?

Before 4 years

A visit to the podiatrist is to be considered when your child has had podal pathologies at birth.

- if you have any concerns about how your child is moving and walking (frequent falls, foot positioning problems, etc.).

- shoe wear asymmetry.

- the knees which relieve you from the axes.

- even for advice on the care of children's feet in general.

From 4 years old

A first consultation with the podiatrist is important.

A complete podiatric examination can diagnose static disorders and imbalances.

Orthopedic insoles may then be necessary to act on balance and posture.

In this case, a follow-up every 6 months is essential to control the evolution. It goes hand in hand with the child's growth.

Foot Reflexology

Our feet support us every day, but are we aware of the importance of taking care of them?

Plantar reflexology is a natural method, over 4,300 years old. This ancestral art tells us that the feet are the mirror of the body, each organ is connected to a reflex point on our foot, we can therefore by means of his hands, by a specific touch, locate tensions, pains, disturbances or dysfunctions in the 'organization.

The work is carried out on different systems of our body: lymphatic, urinary, digestive, respiratory, endocrine, bone, head and sense organs.
